Cooling,
Heating and Power (CHP) for Buildings is one of the initiatives
of DOE's Distributed
Energy Program. This initiative
addresses on-site fuel technologies that make it possible
to integrate power generation and HVAC systems with other
innovative building technologies related to thermal utilization,
cooling, and dehumidification.
Ronald Fiskum is responsible
for the CHP initiative for buildings. The Oak
Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) manages the CHP projects
for DOE. Robert DeVault is the manager for these projects
at ORNL.
Patricia
Hoffman is responsible for the Distributed
Energy Program. This program includes DOE and industry co-funded work for distributed energy
technologies, end-use integration and distribution, high-temperature
superconductivity, and transmission reliability.
The
DE Program is part of the Office
of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) at the U.S.
Department of Energy.
David Garman, Assistant Secretary, is responsible for the
Office of EERE.
