To list all the potential benefits of running your own home based business would take a lot more space than I have available here. It would also take a lot more time than I can afford to spend here. Finally, such an exercise would largely be pointless: the fact is that the reasons why a home based business will work so well for so many people depends hugely on the circumstances of the person considering it.
Some people, for instance, will find the complete lack of a commute at the beginning and end of the day to be the most important thing. Driving for 2 hours can be soul destroying; it also makes the 30 second walk which is possible with a home based business a much hankered after paradise.
Then there is the financial freedom. A home based business that is going well can directly feed profits into your pocket: not someone else’s pocket, but yours.
Then there is the temporal freedom: the freedom in time. No longer do you have to rush to get in for 8 or 9 in the morning, only to stay for the best part of the day wishing you were somewhere else. A home based business means you set your own schedule. Whether you stick to it is a different matter!
